The project story
Working with khadi for Khadi Vasant Mahotsav 2022 was one of those experiences that made me slow down and look closely at fabric, not just as a material, but as something with memory, texture, and meaning. Khadi has a very honest quality. It carries small irregularities, softness, and a handmade character that makes every surface feel alive.
The project was developed for Khadi Vasant Mahotsav 2022, with nature as the central theme. The design direction explored the beauty of natural forms through soft colours, floral details, organic patterns, and handcrafted surface techniques. Rather than treating khadi only as a traditional fabric, the aim was to present it in a way that felt fresh and wearable.
